to our very important
2015 ANNUAL MEETING!
Please RSVP (click here) while seats are still available!
Free parking! Potluck lunch.
Delicious gourmet carrot cakes and more!)
L.A. County Third District Supervisor Sheila Kuehl will generate some powerful Malibu waves the afternoon of Sat., Feb. 15, as the Malibu Democratic Club conducts it’s 2015 Annual Meeting.
Even following passage of the comprehensive Los Angeles County Coastal Program (LCP), which was billed as the be-all, end-all protection for the Santa Monica Mountains, threats to habitat and wildlife remain.
Currently pending before the Coastal Commission is a new 128-room hotel development in the Encinal Canyon. Kuehl will discuss additional ways Malibu residents can protect their hills and beaches from further degradation.
She also will comment on a variety of proposals the Board of Supervisors will be considering this year and how Malibu will be affected.
Club members will sign in beginning at 11 a.m. at the City Hall Multipurpose Room, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road and the program will begin at 11:15 a.m.
Members will consider — and then vote — on important revisions to the bylaws that will make it easier for club members as well as area Democrats to be fully involved in Malibu Democratic Club activities. (Watch for a Democratic Club email soon that includes proposed Bylaws revisions. )
