Anniah Smith

Anniah Smith is a graduate from Pepperdine University where she studied Political Science and English. During her time in undergrad she participated in various organizations serving as President of Pepperdine College Democrats, a fellow for Pepperdine Washington D.C. Internship Program, a Staff Writer for Pepperdine Graphic Media, a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law fraternity, and former director for Alpha Phi Sorority Incorporated.  

While in undergrad, Anniah’s research portfolio included social welfare and restorative justice policies. Specifically, her research included Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Black Maternal Morbidity studies analyzed through an intersectional lens. As the daughter of two veterans and retired government personnel, Anniah is following in the legacy of her parents by serving her community through grassroots organizing and on-campus political engagement.
