Hike & Lunch!
Join us for a short and easy (and fun!) hike on Saturday, May 9 at 10:30 AM at Rocky Oaks Park.
Located in the 31500 block of Mulholland Highway west of the Kanan Road intersection. The entrance is on the north side of Mulholland Highway.
Following the hike, at 12:00 PM, we will gather for lunch at The Old Place (29983 Mulholland Hwy, Cornell, CA 91301).
The hike is kid and dog friendly. Wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen, bring water!

Close the Camps! Community Not Cages!
Trump’s regime is buying up warehouses to convert into concentration camps, part of a broader agenda to detain and disappear our neighbors on a massive scale. We will be joining a statewide protest to oppose the literal warehousing of people in our country. You are invited to join us on Monday, May 4th at the detention center in Van Nuys - located at the corner of Delano and Van Nuys Blvd. The rally will be from 10:00 AM to noon. If you want to carpool, meet at Point Dume Clubhouse to carpool at 9:00 AM.

Road Outrage No Camps CA Convoy

About this event:
On Monday May 4th, Road Outrage LA is joining forces with No Camps CA to put the pedal to the metal for our biggest mobile protest yet - a car caravan and demonstration to bring national attention to the thousands of people being illegally held in California's concentration camps. Our goal is creating public awareness of the high security prisons in CA still illegally holding 10's of thousands of immigrants under inhumane conditions, and making clear that CALIFORNIA SAYS NO to our tax dollars funding it.

We’re flexing our economic power on May 1, sending a message to Trump and his oligarch enablers: We refuse to do business as usual as you trample our rights, terrorize our communities, and conduct your war. Led by May Day Strong, this will be a day of mass refusal to engage with the American economic engine, featuring rallies, marches, and non-violent disruptions across the country. Not everyone will be able to refuse work, school, or spending entirely, but it's vital that each of us does whatever we can do to show the regime that we don't just have numbers -- we have economic leverage.

MDC members present during the meeting will have an opportunity to vote on candidate endorsements. Per our club's bylaws, we do not allow proxy voting except in the case of members with a proven illness or disability that prevents mobility.
Stay tuned for the meeting agenda and additional information as we approach the meeting date.
Check to make sure your club membership is current. If you have paid your club dues or we have waived them for you more recently than October 1, 2025, you are considered a voting member.
If you were not a member of MDC in 2025, you must have joined the Club on or before February 5, 2026 in order to vote on Club business at this meeting. If you were a Club member in 2025 but have not yet renewed your membership for 2026, you may do so up to the meeting date and still be eligible to vote.

Palibu Day of service
Join Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin for a Day of Service, supporting the essential work local nonprofits do to support the Pacific Palisades and Malibu (PaliBu) communities. Participate in multiple hands-on projects and visit with local nonprofits at Pepperdine University or volunteer at one of our off site locations doing a beach clean-up at Malibu Lagoon or caring for our Oak trees at Nicholas Flat Trailhead.
Since we want to encourage you to join us in canvassing for Prop 50 this day, we suggest you support the community service event by dropping off non-perishable food items (ramen, peanut butter, pasta, tomato sauce, etc.) at Pepperdine between 8-9 am. Assemblymember and her team will be at Pepperdine's Alumni Park starting at 8am.
