Maggie Karpuk

Board Member

For 23 years Maggie worked as a State Relations Executive for The National Council on Compensation Insurance, a not-for-profit organization that provides workers compensation information and services in 35 states. She worked directly with Insurance and Labor Commissioners in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah as well as on special projects in Idaho, Nevada and Montana. She was a direct liaison between NCCI and state legislatures. In that capacity she provided Project management, analysis as well as assembling teams to accomplish regulatory and legislative goals on Workers Compensation proposals and their effect on Workers Compensation. She was frequently called to testify before legislative sessions.

Maggie Retired from NCCI in 2018. After retiring she decided to apply as a volunteer Docent at the Getty Villa. She was accepted and underwent a comprehensive training program to learn about ancient Roman architecture and landscaping. She gives weekly Architecture and Garden tours. She enjoys the interaction with visitor who come from all over the world to enjoy the Roman inspired architecture and gardens.

Maggie and her husband, Bob, have lived in Malibu for 34 years.
